For the past couple of days we've been trying to install Corel's "PDF Fusion" application (a PDF reader, creator and editor) on a VM using VSphere v5.5. No luck! It gets "stuck" at a prompt stating "Intializing Installation Wizard". We've phoned the Corel customer support hotline but they haven't been able to provide a definite reply as to why it doesn't install. Finally it occurred to me that the problem may be related to doing this under a VM. It installed in less than a minute on a physical computer yesterday evening, so it doesn't seem to relate to the downloaded installation file.
A friend suggested that the program may be trying to determine the serial number of the CPU to associate that CPU with the installation, but that's merely surmise rather than a fact.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, were you able to devise a work-around?
